Weeping Rock Photos

Zion NP, Utah

Photos of the Weeping Rock. Weeping Rock is named after the steady stream of water that drips like a light rain from the rock face. The water seeps through the Navajo sandstone of the canyon and eventually meets a layer of impermeable shale that forces the water out of the rock, a process which can take many hundreds of years.
